A new direct flight connecting Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong Province, with Haiphong, Vietnam, was launched on January 6th.
Starting January 1, 2026, all public medical institutions in Guangdong have implemented the "one registration valid for 3 days" service for general outpatient visits. Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport transfers all arrival and departure services of three international airlines—Asiana Airlines, Kuwait Airways, and Malaysia Airlines—to Terminal 2 beginning December 22, 2025.
The 2025 Guangzhou Marathon will take place on December 21, starting at Guangzhou Tianhe Sports Center and finishing at Haixinsha Asian Games Park, with around 26,000 runners expected. To ensure smooth operations, Guangzhou Metro will implement a series of service adjustments.
Traveling with pets has become simpler for passengers in China, thanks to the country's first dedicated pet terminal at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. Since opening in May 2025, the facility has served hundreds of owners by combining check-in, paperwork, and pet care under one roof, reducing wait times and providing tailored support for animals.
According to Guangzhou Metro, the latter section of Line 22 (Chentougang–Fangcun) is set to officially open to the public before the end of 2025 and will be connected with the line's initial section (Panyu Square–Chentougang).

On November 7, the "Million Talents, Wisdom in Guangzhou" speech and exchange event, guided by the Guangzhou Organizing Committee for the 15th National Games and hosted by the Guangzhou Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, was held at the Guangzhou Yuexiu International Congress Center.
To ensure the smooth operation of events related to the 15th National Games, including rehearsals, the torch relay, and the opening ceremony, adjustments will be made to Guangzhou's metro and bus services.
On November 3, the National Immigration Administration (Exit and Entry Administration of P.R. China) announced 10 immigration and exit-entry management service policy initiatives. Some policies related to Guangdong include adding 5 ports in the province as entry points for the 240-hour visa-free transit and promoting the application of intelligent exit-entry clearance at certain ports.
On November 2, Huacheng Subdistrict in Guangzhou's Huadu District came alive with music, performances, and cultural exchange as the newly branded Huacheng Street Foreign Language Volunteer Service Team officially launched at Sunac Mall. More than 300 local and international residents attended to witness the debut.
