9 Air to launch new Guangzhou-Jakarta route

Guangzhou-based low-cost carrier 9 Air is expanding its international network with a new route to Jakarta, starting September 22. The airline, which uses Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport as its main hub, will operate three weekly return flights between Guangzhou and the Indonesian capital.

Flights AQ1221/1222 will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft, according to airline schedule data.

9 Air will become the fifth carrier on the Guangzhou-Jakarta route, joining China Southern Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, TransNusa and Spring Airlines.

The new service will raise the total number of weekly return flights between Guangzhou and Jakarta to 37, further expanding air connectivity between southern China and Indonesia.
