The Global Highlights in Nansha - 2025 Jiaomenhe International Neighborhood Gala Night & Intangible Cultural Heritage(ICH) Theme Promotion Day will kick off at Nansha Jiaomen Park Square on the evening of June 14th. This event is not only a showcase of ICH but also a cultural dialogue that transcends time and space. We cordially invite you to appreciate the charm of ICH and listen to the voices of the world.

01 Adding New Highlights to the International Neighborhood Along the Jiaomen River

As the flagship program of Nansha's internationalization efforts, the Jiaomenhe International Neighborhood adheres to the core philosophy of "Openness and Inclusiveness, Green and Smart Living, Harmonious Co-governance, Distinctive Characteristics, and Global Integration". It is dedicated to the attraction of global talent and the construction of a high-quality, diverse, and inclusive living environment. The community not only boasts a beautiful waterfront ecosystem and comprehensive modern amenities, but it also pioneers a diversified co-governance model. This includes the arrangement of the Tea Gathering for Chinese and Foreign Residents as a platform for consultation, the formation of a Core Group of International Volunteers for deep engagement in community governance, and creation of a multicultural community activity system which consists of regular signature events such as Language Corners, Youth Talk about Nansha, and Explore Nansha tours. The upcoming gala will display China’s traditional culture and the community’s achievements and underscore its identity as an open, inclusive, and diverse international neighborhood.

To encourage participation from more residents and international friends, the organizer has a special gift. Chinese residents who invite their foreign neighbors to watch the show together can receive a special gift. When Heritage Day Meets the Gala Night: Nansha's ICH in Full Bloom.

June 14th coincides with China’s annual "Cultural and Natural Heritage Day", and this year's theme, "revitalizing cultural heritage to showcase new brilliance", perfectly aligns with the event. Nansha District is actively responding to the national call and earnestly implementing the Nansha Plan by effectively telling the stories of ICH in the Greater Bay Area. We bring together young artists and ICH inheritors from both China and abroad to jointly showcase the new vitality of the heritage. We have integrated the millennia-old ICH into modern life and enabled it to thrive in the Jiaomenhe International Neighborhood. We have also implemented world music to echo the national initiative to deepen mutual learning among civilizations and further highlight Nansha's open and inclusive spirit. The gala night aims to foster a society-wide atmosphere of participation in the protection and inheritance of ICH, promote its contemporary value, and write Nansha’s most vibrant chapter for "the new brilliance of ICH".
