Children's voices heal divides and guide reunion in a divisive world, says One Voice founder

During their two-week tour across China, the One Voice Children's Choir, founded by composer Masa Fukuda, exemplified his belief that "children have a magical gift to melt barriers," as he concluded the time the group spent in China during an interview with South.

Their journey culminated in Guangzhou, where they joined local students in singing atop the Canton Tower, embodying the power of music as a universal language.

Fukuda emphasizes the "double power" of combining childhood innocence with music to connect hearts. This vision came alive as choir members bonded with Chinese peers, sharing songs like "Friends" and their original "We Are Together." Despite cultural contrasts noted by the young singers, the experience highlighted shared humanity. "It's inspiring that just a song can inspire so many people," reflected one member.

From its origins in the 2002 Winter Olympics to stages in China, the choir continues its mission: amplifying youth voices to lead with kindness and build bridges, one shared melody at a time.
