Guangdong launches all-in-one information service platform for expats

South | Updated:2025-07-03

On July 2, INFO Guangdong, a one-stop information and news service platform operated by South for expats in China's Guangdong, was officially launched.

Aiming to be an "all-in-one local companion" for expats coming to or residing in Guangdong, the platform has created an all-scenario information service system encompassing work, life, study, and social interactions, thereby providing comprehensive support for expats to invest, explore, and integrate into Guangdong.

Diverse sections precisely cover high-frequency needs

Based on the actual needs of expats in Guangdong, INFO Guangdong has constructed a multi-dimensional information product matrix, covering core sections such as business, services, events, lifestyle, and community.

The "Business" section will focus on Guangdong's economic development trends, releasing investment guides and industrial cluster maps, interpreting investment attraction policies and facilitation measures, and assisting foreign investors in seizing opportunities in Guangdong.

The "Services" section will integrate information on immigration, visas, employment, education, and healthcare, providing one-stop policy inquiries and procedural guidance. The "Events" section will present information on stage performances, exhibitions, festivals, and community events in a calendar format, serving as a guide to local social life.

The "Lifestyle" section will compile information on Guangdong's unique cuisine, travel guides, leisure and entertainment, and festival customs, helping expats adapt to the Lingnan lifestyle with ease. The "Chat Group" section will build a vertical interactive platform where users can join communities based on their interests, and participate in online and offline cross-cultural exchange activities.

In addition, focusing on high-frequency living scenarios for expats, the platform will craft five featured product lines, including "Fun in Guangdong" and "Easy in Guangdong," delivering scenario-based content in the form of new media products.

"Expats Club" events: Making Guangdong a home away from home

The platform will adopt an innovative community-based operational strategy. It will rely on international communities and expats' associations in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and other cities to organize cultural tourism and business exchange activities in the form of "Expats Club," helping expats deeply experience and integrate into Guangdong.

On the occasion of its launch, five expats from different fields are invited to serve as INFO Guangdong's first batch of "Global Promotion Ambassadors," sharing first-person stories of working, studying, and living in Guangdong.

The five expats include Harley Seyedin from the United States, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in South China; David Butler from the United Kingdom, General Manager of the Guangzhou International Dragon Boat Team; Rafael Antonio Saavedra Molina from Venezuela, a popular vlogger; Elizaveta Vede from Russia, a talent ambassador for Guangzhou's Nansha District; and Paseuthkhamla Pavina from Laos, an international student at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.

Simultaneously, the platform announced that it will collaborate with five highly influential international communities in Guangzhou and Shenzhen to jointly establish the first batch of "International Community Information Service Centers."

The five communities include Liede International Neighborhood of Tianhe District in Guangzhou; Clifford International Neighborhood of Panyu District in Guangzhou; Jiaomenhe International Neighborhood of Nansha District in Guangzhou; Nanshan International Cultural Exchange and Service Center in Shenzhen; and Shekou Management and Service Center for Expats in Shenzhen.

Looking ahead, INFO Guangdong will work together with these service centers to offer one-stop life and development support for expats residing in the communities. Together, they will deliver precise information services and immersive cultural experiences, further enhancing expats' well-being and facilitating their integration into local life.
