2025 GBA Model United Nations Training Camp held in Guangzhou

The 2025 GBA Model United Nations Training Camp was held at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) in Guangzhou from August 26 to August 30. The event brought together more than 80 teachers and students from over 28 universities and high schools in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), exchanging ideas on the innovation of global city governance.

From August 26 to the morning of the 27th, renowned scholars and experts delivered lectures covering topics such as foreign etiquette, international relations, and the rise of major powers.

Liu Xinsheng, the Former Chinese Expert of the Advisory Committee of the UN Human Rights Council and Executive Director of the United Nations Association of China (UNA-China), delivered a lecture on the negotiation and adoption of UN resolutions.

Professor Zhou Fangyin from the School of International Relations of Zhongshan University delivered a lecture on China-US relations.

On the afternoon of August 27, all members visited GAC Aion and had a glimpse of the vigorous development of the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry.

From August 28 to the morning of August 30, youth delegates engaged in the Model United Nations simulation. Representing different countries, the students debated global governance topics, including the management of chemicals and waste to prevent pollution, the Sudanese refugee crisis, and minimizing economic shock in a globalized economy.

The event concluded on the afternoon of August 30, with multiple honors awarded.
