The Design Capital of Guangzhou is located in the northern part of Baiyun New Town (downtown area), covering an area of approximately 1.27 square kilometers. Its eastern boundary runs along Xinshun Road (west of Tianrui Plaza), Huanan Expressway, Guangyun Road, Huangbian North Road, and the eastern edge of the Yunshan Shiyi Community. To the west, it borders the northwestern extension of Yuncheng Avenue, Dexing Road, and Kangzhuang Road. The southern limit is defined by Yunkang South Road, while the northern boundary follows Kangwei Road and Lingyun Road.

The neighborhood encompasses both the Creative Design Integration Zone of Guangzhou Design Capital and the Guangzhou Legal Services Cluster.

The Design Capital zone focuses on five core industrial sectors: architectural design, industrial design, fashion design, semiconductor chip design, and cultural tourism creative design. It is strategically positioned to become a premier international hub for creating a gathering place for design industry brands in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

This zone is home to the Design Hall, designed by renowned architect He Jingtang. This flagship facility serves as a hub for design creation, immersive experiences, exhibitions, professional exchange, and the transformation of creative achievements into practical applications.

This zone also hosts dedicated studios for internationally acclaimed designers, providing them with complimentary creative workspaces. The Baiyun Talent Lounge functions as a dynamic hub for talent convergence, leadership cultivation, and professional exchange.

Helong Innovation and Entrepreneurship Avenue has developed an integrated service platform that combines party-building initiatives with technological services, scientific innovation, and ecological sustainability solutions to support technology startups.

The Legal Services Cluster is a high-end service industry hub centered on legal services and related professional fields.

Moving forward, the Design Capital of Guangzhou will focus on advancing modern service industries such as design, legal services, technology, and finance. In partnership with the "Future Industries" cluster at Guangzhou Private Science and Technology Park and the "Digital Industries" cluster at Baiyun Lake Digital Technology City, it aims to jointly power a new growth engine for Baiyun District. Through urban renewal initiatives, the area will actively attract emerging high-end industries and upgrade traditional sectors, fostering a new model of integrated industrial and urban development.

By connecting key industrial communities along major transportation arteries, the district will form a loop of integrated industrial and urban development. The area will concentrate on cultivating international high-end creative industries, with strategic planning for design enterprises in fields such as architecture, semiconductor chip development, and fashion. Leveraging institutional assets, including the Guangzhou Intermediate People's Court, Guangzhou Lawyers Building, and the DAYONE Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Intelligent Legal Service Base, the district aims to establish a comprehensive legal services cluster and enhance the legal industry ecosystem.
