Recently, a group of students from Uzbekistan arrived in Guangzhou to participate in the RISE WEEK, hosted by the College of Future Technology at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). During the five-day immersive program, they not only delved into the innovative dynamics of the GBA but also experienced the Red Bird education model and campus culture.

At Cloudwalk Technology in Guangzhou, they learned about the practical applications of AI technology in areas such as smart government affairs, smart customs, and intelligent manufacturing. Through on-site observation combined with professional explanations, the young participants gained a tangible understanding of Guangzhou's innovative vitality and developmental momentum as a technological hub. Sayidolimxon Usmanxonov, a student from Uzbekistan, said, "It’s truly exhilarating! Previously, these concepts were only confined to classrooms and research, but witnessing them drive industrial transformation firsthand is incredible."

Besides, they also visited innovative technology companies such as Pony.ai, XPeng, and DJI, being attracted by the innovation of Guangdong.

Red Bird MPhil Program is an academic master's program designed by the HKUST (Guangzhou) to cultivate interdisciplinary innovative and entrepreneurial leaders. The five-day RISE WEEK includes two days of exploring industries in the GBA and three days of on-campus activities such as lab workshops, Red Bird MPhil Program project-based learning experience, and entrepreneurship programs. It provides international students with a window to deeply experience China. The arrival of the students from Uzbekistan not only marks a journey of technological and urban exploration but also serves as a vivid demonstration of international educational cooperation and cultural exchange.
