On the afternoon of April 21, a unique choral showcase and exchange event took place at the Guangzhou Balcony of the Guangzhou Daily Center. The Guangzhou Little Petrel Children's Choir and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Choir jointly performed the classic Chinese folk song "Jasmine Flower."

As part of the "Global Youth Discover Guangzhou" series, the event used song as a bridge for cultural exchangesbetween China and the world. It showcased the vitalityof young people in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, enhanced mutual understanding between young people from China and abroad and built cross-cultural bond through the resonance of music.

Members of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Choir sang earnestly in Chinese—a language they had just learned—earning warm applause from the audience. Choir members Naomi and Alex were full of praise for the joint performance, complimenting the Guangzhou Little Petrel Children's Choir on their "beautiful voice and amazing standard." Naomi revealed that she had asked a friend for guidance on Chinese pronunciation to sing the song well. "It was very challenging, but this trip has been truly meaningful," she said.
