A delegation of eight students and teacher from the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations arrived in Guangzhou, embarking on a cross-border exchange journey focused on the development of green industries. This visit is part of the "Global Youth Explore Guangzhou" series of activities, which broadens the concept of environmental diplomacy through the lens of young people, fosters exchanges between Chinese and international youth, and enables international friends to visit Guangzhou, understand Guangzhou, and fall in love with Guangzhou.

They visited the Fushan Circular Economy Industrial Park, which uses advanced technology to recycle resources and handles the widest range of waste types in China. They witnessed the waste incineration process and learned about resource conversion. Abdulla Al Gurg Al Gurg, a student majoring in humanitarian diplomacy, was very interested in the park's facilities and kept asking questions. He believes the park is a great case study worth further research and promotion worldwide.

Simon Johannes Karl Farinaa, a student from Germany, shared, "Innovation is everywhere in Guangzhou!" He was inspired by technologies like the park's inspection robots. He said, "Germany also has a long tradition of environmental protection, but learning about Guangzhou's approach feels very new and exciting."

Camille-Audrey Parfaite Banhié, a student from Côte d'Ivoire, hopes to become a policy analyst in the future and contribute to environmental reform in her home country. Visiting Guangzhou for the first time, she said, "Super beautiful!" She added that the city is clean and the people are warm and welcoming. She couldn't wait to call her mother and invite her to visit Guangzhou as well.

The delegation also visited Canton Tower and GAC Aion, where they gained a comprehensive appreciation of Guangzhou's scenery and technological innovation.
