"It's a lifetime experience that some of them may never get to do again. We think it's going to be great because it's going to establish friendship," said Bryan Cantwell, coach of the Chaminade team.
"The thing I like most was when we went into the clay classroom with some of the students, immediately all the kids just started talking to each other", he said.

"This time, I'm looking for another great experience. We just did some really fun events here and I'm set to do more events throughout our time in China," said Abe Eagle, a player who visited China with the team two years prior. "I'm just excited to have this experience and welcome all new things.
"The campus is beautiful. I remember an interaction with one of the captains of the (Guangdong) team. His name means 'tall tree', which I can relate to. We had good conversations about American and Chinese high schools," he added. "We have a lot of foreign exchange students. I actually took Chinese from seventh through tenth grade. I'm always trying to interact with foreign exchange students. They teach me a lot about China, what goes on there. They told me about the food."

"Tall tree" Pan Ruiyan of the Chinese school team said, "I told them about the history and culture of our school. We also chatted about basketball tactics and skills."
Dong Xiangyu, coach of the Chinese team, said he hopes the understanding and friendship between the teams was enhanced with the game.
The US team will also visit Chongqing municipality in Southwest China. Their trip is organized by the Sino-American Friendship Association.
