Recently,INTERKULTUR, the most authoritative organization in the choral world, released its latest World Rankings, with the Guangzhou Little Petrel Children's Choir ranking first worldwide in both the "Children's and Youth Choirs" and "Folklore" categories, and seventh overall.

The choir is currently the only children's choir in China to top both categories and place in the global top 10 overall. Among more than 1,000 registered choirs worldwide, it has maintained a strong international standing in recent years.

Hosted by INTERKULTUR, the World Choir Games are one of the world's largest and most prestigious international choral competitions. Its results are directly incorporated into the official global ranking system and serve as a key benchmark for assessing the overall strength and international influence of choirs.

In August, at the Champions Competition of the 14th World Choir Games in Helsingborg, Sweden, the Guangzhou Little Petrel Children's Choir won championships in two categories: Category C1–Young Children's Choirs and Category C18–Folklore and Indigenous Music a cappella. The event brought together top choirs from dozens of countries and regions, with fierce competition showcasing the high level of choral arts worldwide.

The choir plans to continue developing works that combine Chinese cultural characteristics with contemporary choral expression and promote cultural exchange through music. On October 11, it will present a special concert at Xinghai Concert Hall in Guangzhou, Guangdong.
