Looking for a refreshing outdoor escape? Baiyun Mountain is one of Guangzhou's most popular hiking destinations, and its Liurong Trail, the city's first forest wellness trail, offers a scenic route through lush woodland with sweeping views of the city. A public hiking event will take participants along this picturesque trail on August 8.

Suggested Route (Approx. 6 km)
Keziling Square (柯子岭广场) (Start) → Liurong Trail (六榕小径) → Jiangjun Ridge (将军岭) → Longxing Pavilion (龙兴亭) → Longxiang Pavilion (龙翔亭) → Moxing Summit (摩星岭) (Finish)
Beginning at Keziling Square, the route winds for about three kilometers of natural woodland trails before gradually climbing toward Moxing Summit, Baiyun Mountain's highest peak. With no steep or hazardous sections, the trail is suitable for hikers of a wide range of ages and fitness levels. The air along the trail contains more than 3,000 negative air ions per cubic centimeter year-round, making it ideal for a refreshing walk in nature.

Hiking Tips
Participants are advised to wear comfortable hiking shoes with good grip and bring plenty of drinking water, especially in summer. Sunscreen, a hat and insect repellent are also recommended. To avoid the midday heat, consider starting early. Stay on designated trails, follow park regulations and protect the mountain's natural environment by taking your litter with you.
