Guangdong-based agtech company XAG launched its new X Series agricultural robots on July 6, marking a major step toward fully automated crop-protection operations.
The X Series comprises three core units: the X150 Agricultural Drone, the XA1 Agricultural Drone Airport, and the LM1 Smart Liquid Mixing System. Together, they automate the entire workflow, from route planning and spraying to liquid mixing, battery charging, and self-cleaning, significantly reducing manual labor and resource waste.

"The X Series transforms complex automation systems into an accessible, cost-effective user experience. By minimizing the need for farmers to frequently intervene in tedious intermediate steps, it shifts crop protection from seasonal, high-intensity labor to more manageable routine operations," said Peng Bin, founder of XAG.

Unlike previous models that automated flight and spraying but still required human input for charging, mixing, and cleaning, the X Series delivers end-to-end automation. A next-generation 4D imaging radar, paired with a new vertical radar, provides comprehensive all-weather perception, achieving over 90% accuracy in detecting overhead power lines.
Charging is now fully automated. The new B18630 smart flash battery cuts charging time from 60 minutes a decade ago to just 2.5 minutes for a quick top-up and 3.5 minutes for a full charge, with a cycle life of 4,000 charges. To accommodate power grids worldwide, the charger supports wide-voltage input across varying three-phase voltage standards in different countries.
The system also automates liquid mixing and filling based on preset crop-protection recipes. A one-touch deep-cleaning cycle purges pipes, nozzles, and tanks to prevent clogging, corrosion, and cross-contamination.

XAG also unveiled the RM80 unmanned mower for orchard and field management. This lightweight, all-electric robotic mower is designed for orchard clearing, overgrown land reclamation, and stubble management. It can climb slopes of up to 30% (approx. 16.7 degrees), reach a top speed of 1.5 m/s, and operate for 40 minutes on a single charge via its dual-battery bay. In orchard rows, it can autonomously cover 0.33 to 0.53 hectares per hour.

In 2025, XAG reported total annual revenue exceeding 1.166 billion yuan. Its overseas operations generated 419 million yuan, up 13% year-on-year and accounting for 36% of total revenue, with its footprint spanning nearly 70 countries and regions.
