On February 3, the delegations of APEC Health Working Group(HWG) policy dialogue conducted field trips in Guangzhou for knowledge exchanges on digital and AI empowered brain health diagnostic and treatment services. 

The policy dialogue was part of the First APEC Senior Officials' Meeting and Related Meetings (SOM1) in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province. 

This event aligns with the APEC 2026 priorities, particularly the emphasis on openness, innovation, and cooperation. 

Focusing on brain health, the event brought together policymakers, experts, and industry leaders from APEC member economies to explore how digital health technologies can leverage more holistic and integrated health service delivery across life course, optimize resource allocation, strengthen disease screening and prevention, improve health accessibility, quality, efficiency, affordability, and reduce inequality across the region.
