The First Senior Officials' Meeting and Related Meetings (SOM1), the first event of APEC China 2026, were being held in Guangzhou from February 1 to February 10.

It marks the official opening of the APEC China Year. This year-long process will culminate in November, with the economic leaders' meeting.
