South | Updated:2025-09-17

Guangzhou Metro Group has officially launched a series of themed day tickets to welcome the 15th National Games and the Paralympics, blending sports spirit, urban vitality, and regional cultural charm.

The themed tickets come in two variants: a one-day pass (blue) and a three-day pass (pink-orange). Both designs integrate key elements of the National Games, metro features, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The mascots of the Games—"Xiyangyang" and "Lerongrong"—along with Guangzhou Metro's mascot "YOYO," take center stage on the tickets, showcasing lively and dynamic imagery. The designs also incorporate iconic Lingnan cultural symbols like lion dances and landmarks from Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao, highlighting both athletic passion and regional identity. With a fresh, vibrant color palette, the tickets embody the youthful energy of the Games and the city's humanistic spirit.

The one-day pass is priced at 20 yuan per ticket, while the three-day pass costs 50 yuan. These tickets are available for purchase at self-service kiosks or customer service centers in stations near competition venues, transport hubs, and popular destinations.

Initial distribution began in mid-September across major stations, including Huangcun (黄村), Tianhe Sports Center (体育中心), Baiyun Park (白云公园), Conghua Coach Terminal (从化客运站), Jinzhou (金洲), Guangzhou South Railway Station (广州南站), Guangzhou East Railway Station (广州东站), Higher Education Mega Center N. (大学城北), Wushan (五山), Linhexi (林和西), Zhuliao (竹料), Airport S. (机场南), Airport N. (机场北), Gongyuanqian (公园前), Chen Clan Academy (陈家祠), and Wanshengwei (万胜围). The tickets will gradually roll out to other metro stations in the network, with details accessible via on-site staff.

This initiative not only enhances convenience for residents and visitors during the Games but also serves as a cultural keepsake, capturing the intersection of sports, urban life, and regional heritage.

Whether for commuting or sightseeing, these themed passes offer a unique way to immerse oneself in the celebratory atmosphere of the national sporting event while exploring Guangzhou's dynamic cityscape.
