In preparation for the May Day holiday, from April 29 to May 6, Xintang Railway Station on the Guangzhou-Shanwei High-speed Railway will increase the number of trains to accommodate the expected rise in passenger demand.
72 direct high-speed trains
From April 25 to May 7, Xintang Railway Station will offer daily direct trains to and from Shantou and Changsha South railway stations. Specifically, there will be two pairs of trains (four trains) operating daily between Xintang and Shantou, and one pair of direct trains (two trains) will run daily between Xintang and Changsha South.
143 additional stopover trains
To better serve travelers, 143 additional stopover trains will be added, connecting Guangzhou East to major railway stations such as Chaoshan, Shenzhen, Shantou, and Xiamen.
·To Xiamen: One train will be added each day on May 1 and May 6.
·To Chaoshan: One train will be added daily from May 1 to May 3.
·To Shenzhen: Two additional trains will operate daily on April 28 and May 7, with nine trains running daily from April 29 to May 6.
·To Shantou: One train will be added daily from April 30 to May 2.
·To Guangzhou East (Baiyun Railway Station): 57 extra trains will operate throughout the holiday period.
10 extra night trains
To accommodate travelers during the holiday period, Xintang Railway Station will extend its operating hours by two additional hours, adding 10 night trains that primarily serve the Xiamen, Chaoshan, and Jieyang-Guangzhou routes.
Notable additions include the G4534 train to Xiamen on May 1 and May 6, and the C9154 train to Chaoshan, which will run from May 1 to May 3. Additionally, the C9149 train from Jieyang to Guangzhou East will operate from April 30 to May 2 and from May 4 to May 5.
