The first phase of the 137th Canton Fair concluded successfully on April 19, with 923 companies from the Guangzhou Trade Delegation participating. The cumulative intended transaction volume surpassed one billion dollars amid tariff tensions, with a significant increase in orders from buyers in Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Exhibitors showcased products that emphasized green, intelligent, and digital trends. This edition of the Canton Fair featured a dedicated Service Robots Zone for the first time, with five Guangzhou-based enterprises participating. The exhibits included humanoid robots, autonomous sweepers, patrol robots, and agricultural drones, all of which drew attention from buyers across Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

Among the highlights, autonomous street-cleaning vehicles from Guangzhou SAIET Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. attracted multiple international buyers. According to Chairman Li Rui, the fair marks a major milestone in the company's overseas expansion. He projected that overseas revenue could reach tens of millions of yuan this year, accounting for 10% to 20% of total revenue.

Electric vehicles, lithium batteries, and photovoltaic components also emerged as key highlights at the fair. Guangzhou Automobile Group showcased its latest smart model, the Hyper, along with the AION.

Guangzhou Felicity Solar Technology Co., Ltd. attracted strong interest from African buyers with its solar products. The company has established branches and warehousing centers in Nigeria and other locations to better serve local markets.

On April 17, a specialized Guangdong goods global trade promotion event focused on the automotive sector was held. Nearly 100 participants, including 40 international buyers from Germany, Poland, Russia, France, and Egypt, attended for face-to-face business discussions. Preliminary statistics indicate that over 1 million yuan in intended deals were secured within just the first hour of the event.

During the Canton Fair, Guangzhou also hosted a themed exhibition on Guangdong-made AI Robots at Terminal 2 of Baiyun International Airport. The second and third phases of the 137th Canton Fair will continue with more than 100 scheduled supply-demand matchmaking events.
