With the 137th Canton Fair set to begin on April 15, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has introduced a range of services aimed at providing seamless and greater travel convenience for both exhibitors and visitors.
New service counters at the Canton Fair venue
During the fair, service counters will be set up at the Canton Fair Complex, with one located in Zone B and the other in Zone A. The B-zone counter, which serves as the main service hub, will host representatives from 12 airlines, including China Southern Airlines, Air China, China Eastern Airlines, and Hainan Airlines. Available services will include check-in assistance, luggage handling, and flight and ticket inquiries. In addition, the counter will offer bookings for hotels, rental cars, tours, and tickets to local attractions.
The A-zone counter will be dedicated exclusively to China Southern Airlines and will provide passengers with specialized services such as check-in, baggage handling, flight information, and exclusive merchandise.
Direct shuttle to the Canton Fair
To further streamline travel, the airport will operate a shuttle bus service between the airport and the Canton Fair Complex during the event (April 15-19, April 23-27, and May 1-5). The buses will run at regular intervals, with the first departures from the airport at 9:00 AM and the last at 4:00 PM. The return service will be available from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A special discount of 35 RMB per passenger will be available for those with Canton Fair credentials, such as a buyer badge.

The airport is also introducing several new initiatives to elevate the travel experience for Canton Fair attendees. Visitors can collect unique Guangdong cultural souvenirs, including postcards and bookmarks, as well as sample local delicacies like dried tangerine peel peanuts and tea. Additionally, passengers can enjoy free premium coffee at the service counters.
For those seeking a lighter travel experience, the airport is offering a "zero luggage" service, where attendees can have their luggage collected, packed, and checked in at their hotel or the fair venue, allowing them to travel to and from the Fair without any burden.
Finally, visitors can buy a Guangzhou Travel Card at the airport, which offers unlimited access to the city's metro, buses, and ferries, along with discounts at various local attractions, restaurants, and shops.
