China Southern Airlines has resumed flights between Riyadh and Guangzhou after disruptions to regional aviation following recent military tensions in the Middle East.

Flight CZ376 from Riyadh landed at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport on March 7, completing the first return service since the route was suspended. The aircraft carried 275 passengers, most of them Chinese citizens, including tourists and workers previously stranded in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, the airline plans to resume its Shenzhen–Riyadh route from March 10.

Regional air traffic had been disrupted since February 28 after strikes involving the United States and Israel against Iran raised security concerns across the Middle East.

Several routes between the Middle East and China have also resumed in recent days, including Istanbul-Beijing, Dubai-Shanghai, Cairo-Chengdu, and Riyadh-Beijing, offering limited options for stranded travelers to leave the region.
