Evan Kail, a US pawnshop owner and social media influencer, visited the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall in Guangzhou on April 22. Kail first drew widespread attention in 2022 when he donated a World War II photo album that documented Japanese war crimes in China. His act deeply resonated with people in China, and in recognition of his contribution, he was honoured with a piece of China's National Gift Porcelain—a symbol of high esteem traditionally reserved for distinguished guests.
Now, Kail is touring South China to promote peace and friendship, which are the themes of his trip, as he shared in a video on social media. So, what has he discovered in Guangzhou? And what does he love most about Cantonese culture? Watch the video to find out!
