A delegation of teachers and students from approximately 10 schools, including the Anna Schmidt School in Frankfurt, Germany, has arrived in Guangzhou for a 10-day cultural exchange.

Upon their arrival on Oct 10, the group of over 70 individuals was warmly welcomed by students and teachers from Guangzhou Zhixin High School and Jingshi Aoyuan Nan'ao Experimental School in Panyu district.

They were paired with local students and families, visited campuses under the guidance of their hosts, experienced calligraphy, ethnic dance, and Chinese painting, and learned about Guangzhou-style dim sum, specifically the steamed siu mai.

The group also visited the Nansha School of Guangzhou Zhixin High School on Oct 14, exploring the swimming pool, COOKBOOK AI laboratory and more. They also engaged in discussions with students and teachers at the Yuezhi Youth Science Academy.

Applause filled the room as students successfully operated a laser cutting machine for the first time to create their own works. In a special class, the group's students, guided by intangible cultural heritage inheritors, learned to raise lion heads and experienced the Nansha Qilin Dance, gaining a profound appreciation for the unique charm and vitality of intangible cultural heritage.

In addition to attending classes, the students visited the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), where they witnessed drone performances and interacted with robotic dogs. They also explored the Guangdong Museum, Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, and Yuyin Garden, immersing themselves in Guangzhou's thriving past and present.
