The 138th Canton Fair is scheduled to take place in Guangzhou from October 15 to November 4, divided into three phases, with a record number of enterprises participating, as announced by the Ministry of Commerce during a special press conference on the afternoon of October 10.

This edition of the Canton Fair will feature an exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, with a total of 74,600 booths and over 32,000 participating enterprises—both figures representing record highs. Approximately 3,600 enterprises will be making their debut at the fair.

Notably, the number of high-quality enterprises recognized as national high-tech firms, specialized and sophisticated SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises), or manufacturing champions has exceeded 10,000 for the first time, setting a historical record and accounting for 34% of all enterprises in the export section. The fair will showcase a total of 353,000 intelligent product categories.

Wang Zhihua, Director of the Foreign Trade Department at the Ministry of Commerce, stated that the fair will feature its first-ever Smart Healthcare zone, attracting 47 companies specializing in surgical robots, intelligent monitoring, wearable devices, and more.

Additionally, 46 leading companies in the industry will exhibit embodied robots, robotic dogs, and other advanced products, aiming to create new highlights for foreign trade development.

Furthermore, this session will host, for the first time, an event focused on expanding domestic sales for high-quality foreign trade products, with a dedicated matchmaking zone of approximately 3,000 square meters. The fair will also feature over 600 new product launch events and 13 thematic forums. To date, the number of global partners for the Canton Fair has increased to 227, covering 110 countries and regions.
