Guangzhou-Singapore trade forum secures 2 billion yuan in investment

The Guangzhou-Singapore Economic and Trade Conference and the 15th Anniversary of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City took place in Singapore on April 2, bringing together over 100 representatives from Singaporean businesses, institutions, and trade associations.

During the event, 13 cooperation agreements were signed between Guangzhou enterprises and leading Singaporean companies in sectors such as biomedicine, green energy, and smart cities. The total investment from these agreements reached two billion yuan.

According to statistics, Singapore's investment in Guangzhou continues to grow steadily. In 2024, the trade volume between Guangzhou and Singapore reached 15.5 billion yuan, with 107 new Singaporean companies entering the Guangzhou market, a 16.3% increase.

By the end of 2024, Singapore had invested in 1,098 companies in Guangzhou, with a total contract value of 8.58 billion USD. Meanwhile, Guangzhou's investment in Singapore has reached 95 companies with a total investment of 1.06 billion USD.
