The 127th session of the China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, has sent invitation to over 400,000 overseas purchasing agents who have participated in previous events, organizers announced during an online press conference held by the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) on April 23.

The 127th Canton Fair has been scheduled to be conducted online due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Gao Feng, the MOC spokesman, said that a larger range of domestic professional purchasing agents have been invited to take part in the upcoming fair to expand import volume.

Gao noted that the fair will last for 10 days, allowing exhibitors and purchasing agents to carry out high frequency interactions and to enable more cooperation opportunities for companies.

"The online platform will be able to offer multilingual services to make it convenient for the communication between companies and purchasing agents," added Gao.
