Boluodan Temple Fair, the oldest, grandest, and most influential millennium temple fair in the Pearl River Delta region, will be held at the Nanhai Temple in Huangpu district, Guangzhou, from 9 am to 6 pm on March 20 to 22 (Lunar Feb 11 to 13).

The Boluodan Temple Fair, one of the third batch of national intangible cultural heritage, has a history of more than a thousand years. Through all these years, it has developed into an important window for displaying the history and culture of Huangpu district.

This year, the Boluodan Temple Fair, with the theme of "Soaring Dragons, New Journeys," will hold cultural activities such as artistic performances, dance drama, intangible cultural heritage flash mob, cultural and creative bazaar, and Chinese-style fete, integrating traditional culture with modern elements.

The opening ceremony will be held in the evening for the first time, kicking off with luminous dragon and lion dances. Traditional cultural activities like dance dramas, Cantonese opera, and acrobatics, as well as folk and poetry performances, will revolve around Maritime Silk Road culture.

There will be various interesting activities during the Temple Fair. One of these is the intangible cultural heritage flash mob, which will allow you to get close to intangible cultural heritage such as Cantonese opera and Guangdong Hanyue. You can also experience intangible heritage techniques such as Cantonese embroidery, Ricepaperplant pith painting and Kwon-glazed porcelain. The special food street and the cultural and creative bazaar are also worth visiting.

You can follow the "Guangzhou Maritime Museum" and "Wenlv Huangpu" WeChat official accounts to book tickets online in advance and enter the venue during the chosen time.
