During International Women's Day, a delegation of African American women business leaders led by Paula Madison, a director of the Los Angeles-Guangzhou Sister City Association, visited Guangzhou.

The delegation comprised over 20 elite women, including senior lawyers, entrepreneurs, bankers, financiers, and journalists. They engaged in friendly exchanges with representatives of young and middle-aged female entrepreneurs in Guangzhou, aiming to deepen their understanding of each other's market environments, business cultures, and opportunities.

The delegation gained insights into Guangzhou's "Green and Beautiful Guangzhou" ecological construction initiatives and outcomes during the visit. They experienced the rich cultural heritage of Guangzhou as a national historical and cultural city and the center of Lingnan culture, feeling the vitality and charm of this modern metropolis.

Madison stated that the visit aimed to strengthen the exchange and cooperation between female entrepreneurs from China and the United States. She hoped that the purpose of her visit was twofold. She believed that coming would not only provide Chinese female entrepreneurs with a comprehensive understanding of the business culture and market environment in the US but also serve as a platform for American female entrepreneurs to gain a deeper knowledge of China and explore business opportunities in the country.

Madison also shared her connection to Guangzhou, noting that her grandfather's hometown is there, making this visit feel like a "homecoming" for her. She expressed that through the joint efforts of both sides, the friendly exchanges between Los Angeles and Guangzhou would be further deepened, and the cooperation opportunities for female entrepreneurs from both countries would become even more abundant.
