The Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council has recently issued a notice calling for further efforts to promote the mutual recognition of nucleic acid test results across the nation, so as to facilitate the travel of people.

Nucleic acid test results displayed in different channels have the same validity. It's required that test results have the same validity within the valid period and should be recognized, if people inquire the results via the State Council App, the national government affairs platform, the health codes of provincial-level regions, testing institutions or its apps, or hold a hard copy.

Public places and transportation should not deny people's entrance on the grounds that the individual's local health code cannot be found, and should not require people to repeat testing.

Immediate actions are urged to ensure that grassroots staff implement these polices carefully.

Currently, nucleic acid results in several provincial-level regions can be mutually recognized.

Guangdong's "Yuekang Code" (粤康码) can identify Hunan nucleic acid test certificates, Shanghai's "Suishen Code" (随申码) has achieved mutual recognition in the Yangtze River Delta. In northeast China, both Liaoning's "Liao Shitong" (辽事通) and Jilin's "Jixiang Code" (吉祥码) can switch between the nucleic acid detection database in the province and the national database.
