Guangzhou hosts women, children's health services meeting online

A meeting for Women and Children's Health Services under COVID-19 of United Cities and Local Governments, Asia Pacific was held online on April 22.

The meeting discussed topics such as how to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, solving common medical and health problems, and protecting women and children's health rights and interests.

Zhang Yajie, vice-chairman of the CPPCC Guangzhou Municipal Committee, and co-chairman of UCLG Asia Pacific, attended the meeting.

In the fight against Omicron, Zhang presented Guangzhou's method of paying attention to and satisfying the medical service demands of vulnerable groups during the meeting and urged UCLG Asia Pacific member cities to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in women and children's medical care, especially in remote medical treatment cooperation.

The UCLG Asia Pacific headquarters is located in Jakarta, Indonesia. Guangzhou is its co-chair and the chair city of the Women's Standing Committee.
