The Philippine Consulate-General in Guangzhou celebrated the 25th anniversary of its establishment on March 22. Liu Liu, deputy director of the foreign affairs office of the Guangzhou municipal government, was invited to attend the celebration.
Since the Philippine Consulate-General in Guangzhou was established in 1997, the Philippines has actively promoted the development of bilateral ties, as well as friendly exchanges and cooperation in various fields, achieving fruitful outcomes in the economy, trade, culture, and tourism.
At the celebration, Marshall Louis M. Alferez, consul general of the Philippines in Guangzhou, and Luo Jun, first-level inspector of the Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office, expressed their desires to further enhance friendship between both sides and deepen cooperation in fields of economy, trade, tourism, as well as culture to continuously benefit people in the Philippines and China.
