The 8th China Guangzhou Annual Investment Conference and the first Global Unicorn CEO Forum Singapore session was held in Singapore on March 7.
Participants and experts discussed new opportunities for regional development and industrial cooperation between Guangzhou and Singapore.
In 2021, the total import and export volume between Guangzhou and Singapore was $3.43 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 15.12 percent. There were 69 new Singaporean enterprises in Guangzhou, up 15 percent year-on-year.
By January 2022, Singapore had invested in a total of 854 enterprises in Guangzhou, covering high-tech strategic emerging industries, as well as financial services.
In 2020, SP Group cooperated with China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City to promote the development of its regional energy business.
As a State-level bilateral cooperation project between China and Singapore, China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC) has become an international cutting-edge investment platform carrier.
To date, there are more than 20,000 registered market entities in CSGKC, with a registered capital of more than 440 billion yuan ($70 billion), while more than 60 key China-Singapore cooperation projects have been promoted.
An increasing number of Guangzhou-Singapore cooperation projects are developing in Guangzhou. Twelve new cooperation projects, including the SP Group headquarters base, have been introduced into the China-Singapore International Science, Technology, and Innovation Cooperation Demonstration Zone.
