Guangzhou celebrates China, Mexico diplomatic anniversary

Guangzhou celebrates the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mexico on Feb 14. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

A celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mexico was held in Guangzhou on Feb 14.

Lei Weiju, deputy director of the foreign affairs office of the Guangzhou municipal government, was invited to attend.

China and Mexico established diplomatic relations on Feb 14, 1972. Since then, the two countries have deepened cooperation and communications in many areas, greatly benefiting people in two countries.

Mexico Consul-General in Guangzhou Carlos I. Giralt-Cabrales and Cang Feng, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, expressed hope that the two countries would continue to deepen cooperation and promote mutual development.
