The opening ceremony of the Dutch Tulip Garden that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Netherlands was held in Guangzhou on Jan 29.

Michiel Bierkens, consul general of the Netherlands in Guangzhou, Carlos Giralt, consul general of Mexico in Guangzhou, Chen Xun, deputy director of the Guangzhou bureau of forestry and landscaping, Liu Liu, deputy director of the foreign affairs office of the Guangzhou municipal government, Wang Yu, director of the Baiyun Mountain administration bureau, as well as friendly representatives of the Netherlands in Guangzhou and senior executives of Dutch-sponsoring enterprises in China attended the event.

The design concept of the garden adopts the official logo of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Netherlands, with an abstract assembly line forming an unfinished number 50 as the shape, which implies that the relationship between China and the Netherlands has a long history and will continue to deepen with the 50th anniversary as a new starting point.
