An exhibition of 205 works of art is being presented at the Guangzhou Museum of Art to commemorate the centennial of the Communist Party of China.

The exhibits display a wide range of forms, including Chinese painting, oil painting, watercolor, engraving and sculpture, themed on the history of the CPC in the past century, said Feng Qingyuan, deputy curator of the museum, at a news conference in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on Monday.

Among the works are a painting by Guan Shanyue depicting the Long March of the Red Army (1934-36) and a sculpture by Pan He depicting Red Army soldiers.

Guangzhou is one of six cities in the country having the earliest CPC organizations. A number of pieces on exhibit tell the history of the city.

The show will last until October.
