The 2020 World 5G Convention will be held in Guangzhou from Nov 26 to 28, with experts, scholars, and senior company managers from home and abroad expected to participate in both online and offline activities.

First held in Beijing in 2019, the World 5G Convention is the first international meeting on 5G in the world.

The convention, which will consist of an opening ceremony, the main forum, and summit forums, will be jointly held by the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, as well as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

This year's convention is expected to discuss pressing issues regarding the application of 5G to make more contributions to the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

An exhibition spanning around 12,000 square meters will be held during the event, showcasing various application scenarios of 5G in areas spanning family living, health care, financial consumption, social communication, education and entertainment, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, as well as urban management.

Visitors will be able to experience the application of 5G at the exhibition, as well as get a close look at the latest technologies and products in the upstream and downstream of the 5G industry.
