Guangzhou to hold intl conference on cross-border e-commerce

The 2020 Global Cross-border E-commerce Conference is scheduled to be held in Guangzhou on Nov 19, aiming to further increase Guangzhou's role as an international commerce center. 

As one of the central cities in China, Guangzhou has been listed among the first batch of the country's integrated pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce and is also one of the cities in China with the most complete business models for cross-border e-commerce.

The event will be held both online and offline, with a variety of guests from home and abroad participating, such as officials from foreign consulates general in Guangzhou, leading experts, representatives from relevant international organizations, as well as representatives from leading companies in the industry.

The conference will explore the new opportunities and challenges in cross-border e-commerce, focusing on the development of new business models in the industry.

In addition, discussions on pressing issues will be carried out during the event, such as supervision for cross-border e-commerce under COVID-19 pandemic measures, facilitation in global clearance for cross-border e-commerce, the establishment of a cross-border e-commerce clearing and payment platform, the cultivation of global cross-border e-commerce talents, as well as supporting policies in foreign exchanges and taxation.
