A delegation led by Mitypov Vladimir, consul general of Russia in Guangzhou, visited Guangzhou's Nansha district on May 7 and met with Xing Hua, director of Nansha's united front work department.

Xing noted that currently more than 700 foreigners live in Nansha, working in areas spanning automobile manufacturing, shipbuilding heavy industry, and education.

Nansha has attached great importance to the living condition of foreigners in the district since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and has listened to the needs of foreigners through various measures.

A multilingual 24-hour service hotline operated by four staff members has also been established to better serve foreigners.

Xing noted that the Nansha district government will try its best to create a safe and comfortable living environment for every one that lives or works in Nansha.
