An art exchange exhibition for youths from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan opened in Guangzhou's Nansha district on Dec 27, launching a project to boost art communication and cooperation among youths in the four areas.

The project is expected to showcase the new ideas of youths in the form of arts, as well as contribute to the construction of an arts ecosystem in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with a continuous, long-term, and open vision.

The exhibition will last until Jan 20, 2020.

Prestigious experts and scholars, including Fan Bo, vice president of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and Yang Xiaoyan, professor at Sun Yat-sen University, attended the opening ceremony.

In addition, a project themed on the art of ancient villages in Nansha was also opened, inviting Yang as the academic director. Eight youth artists from the four places will stay in Nansha for one month to create art.
