Intl innovation festival kicks off in Tianhe

The 2019 Guangzhou International Innovation Festival opened at Guangzhou Library in Guangzhou's Tianhe district on Nov 2, running for three days.

The Guangzhou International Innovation Festival, which was first held in 2016, has established a high-level platform for the exhibition and discussion of international technologies and innovations.

This year's festival, themed around "Innovation and Intelligence Leads to A Better Future," has organized 33 theme lectures and forums on hot issues such as artificial intelligence (AI) and 5G. 

A total of 10 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering participated in this year's festival, sharing innovative views in areas spanning big data, data science, AI, and information technology convergence.

Supplementary activities such as an innovation and entrepreneurship competition, a development forum, a creative products exhibition, and business tours were also held during the festival.

The Tianhe 5G + Innovative Industry Association was set up during the event, promoting the deep integration of 5G, internet, AI, big data, and the entity economy.

A research report on the AI industry in 2019 was also released during the festival, showcasing the achievements in AI's applications and its business development.
