Students in the US team watched a Chinese martial arts performance by Chinese students and tried pottery making at Guangdong Experimental High School.

They also had a tour of Guangzhou after arriving in the city on Sunday.

"This time, I'm looking for another great experience. We just did some really fun events here and I'm set to do more events throughout our time in China," said Abe Eagle, a player who visited China with the team two years prior. "I'm just excited to have this experience and welcome all new things.

"The campus is beautiful. I remember an interaction with one of the captains of the (Guangdong) team. His name means 'tall tree', which I can relate to. We had good conversations about American and Chinese high schools," he added. "We have a lot of foreign exchange students. I actually took Chinese from seventh through tenth grade. I'm always trying to interact with foreign exchange students. They teach me a lot about China, what goes on there. They told me about the food."
