The 125th China Import and Export Fair, China's largest trade fair that is also known as the Canton Fair, will open on April 15 in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong province.

The fair will be held in the China Import and Export Fair Complex and runs until May 5. The total area will cover 1.185 million square meters, with nearly 60,000 booths for exhibitors from across the world to showcase their products.

The first phase of the export exhibition runs from April 15 to 19 and will mainly showcase mechanical and electrical equipment, hardware, and building materials. The second phase runs from April 23 to 27 and will highlight consumer goods and gifts. The third phase runs from May 1 to 5 and will focus on textiles and clothing, luggage, culture and sports, food, medical supplies, and medical health products.

The import products exhibitions are set for the first and third phases respectively, which will cover products in areas of electronic and home appliances, building materials and hardware, machinery and equipment, food and beverage, household items, fabrics, and home textiles. The exhibition area of the exhibitions will be about 20,000 square meters, which will attract more than 600 high-quality overseas enterprises from about 50 countries and regions.
