Scenic spots in Guangzhou are organizing special activities and offering discounts for women in celebration of International Women's Day, which falls on March 8 every year.

On March 6, Canton Tower, the most renowned tourism attraction in Guangzhou, put on a photography exhibition to showcase the great achievements made by Guangzhou's women of distinction over the past century. A qipao show was also held at the iconic tower.

A total of 380 Guangzhou women from all walks of life attended the photography exhibition, which was divided into three sections and exhibited how Guangzhou's women fought for freedom, equal rights, and liberation over the past century.
