Guangzhou, Fukuoka seek deeper cooperation

Atsuhito Sadakari, vice mayor of Fukuoka city, Japan, led an eight-member delegation to Guangzhou from Oct 23 to 25, marking the 40th anniversary of the sister cities relationship between the two cities.

On Oct 24, Chen Zhiying, vice mayor of Guangzhou, met with the Japanese vice mayor, saying that Guangzhou and Fukuoka have had close exchanges and achieved great accomplishments based on them. He hopes that the two cities can deepen their cooperation further.

During their visit to Guangzhou, the Japanese delegates visited the city's iconic Huacheng Square and were briefed on the construction of the Tianhe Central Business District. Their itinerary also included the 124th Canton Fair, Guangzhou Venture Capital Town, Guangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center, the Canton Tower and the Pearl River at night.
