Bronze mirror exhibition gets underway in Guangzhou

A special exhibition featuring a collection of 136 bronze mirrors from ancient China is underway at the Museum of the Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King, and will run until Sept 10.

Organized by the Museum of the Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King and the Daguan Museum of Guangdong, the exhibition showcases a total of 136 exquisite bronze mirrors and 23 rubbings of ancient inscriptions.

The bronze mirrors can be traced back to the Warring States Period (475-221 BC) and the Han (206 BC-220) and Tang (618-907) dynasties, and feature unique characteristics of bronze mirrors in these three historical periods.
