A special service window was opened at the government affairs service center in Yuexiu district, Guangzhou on July 19, enabling business starters to complete four major procedures in a single day.

The procedures, all needed to register a newly-established enterprise, include getting a business license and a business stamp, opening a bank account and registering for taxes.

"The efficiency is certainly improved. Things used to require three to five days to get done now they only take a while," said an entrepreneur, who came to the center to register a new business.

According to Wu Junjun, deputy director of Yuexiu's government affairs service center, the window started to provide services on July 10 on a trial basis and officially opened on July 19. When application conditions and materials of the new businesses meet requirements, it takes only one day to complete the four major procedures.
