An unusual meteorological phenomenon appeared in Guangzhou on Jan 11, bringing locals a rare but magnificent view of a sky featuring half white and half blue.

People in other cities of Guangdong province such as Foshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing and Zhongshan were also reportedly treated to this spectacular natural view.

According to experts from Guangdong Meteorological Service, the special cloud was formed due to two airflows containing different water vapor contents heading to different directions. The special sight indicates that the sunny yet cold weather in Guangdong province will continue to last in the following days.
