An art exhibition featuring figure paintings created by Li Dangqi was held at Kapok International Fashion City in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou during the ongoing Guangdong Fashion Week.

Li is a renowned professor of art and design at Tsinghua University and a master in both the fashion and the art world, whose works have strong connections with clothing culture and modern art.

The exhibition, a key component of Guangdong Fashion Week, not only reflects real lives of Chinese people, but also captures the moments of foreigners from different countries with diversified cultural and social backgrounds.

"Li is an educator and artist enjoying great fame in both China and overseas and his works and artistic spirit are worth learning for all of us," said Bu Xiaoqiang, general manager of Kapok International Fashion City.

Bu added that the clothing industry should push forward with reforms to develop and combine apparel with art, as well as promote clothing culture to an artistic level.
