Guangzhou Local Records Museum reopens

The Guangzhou Local Records Museum, the largest local records museum in China, reopened to the public on May 17.

Located next to Xincheng Central Square in Guangzhou's Baiyun district, the museum displays the city's history in its main exhibition area. In the museum's upper floors, a city development exhibition hall will open to the public soon, providing local residents with the opportunity to learn more about Guangdong's capital city.

New technologies, including a 360-degree cinema, 4D presentations and virtual recreations of ancient streets, aids the museum in exhibiting Guangzhou's development, economy, politics, culture and society.

As one of the most important trade ports in China since the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC), Guangzhou has experienced incredible changes to become a commercial capital.

Successful businessmen from around the country attended the grand reopening, sharing their experiences of conducting business in the commercial city.
