A total of 32 startups from nine countries sought investment in Guangzhou at a roadshow event held in the Guangdong province capital on May 8.

The event was sponsored by China Fortune Land Development Co (CFLD), and Techcode, an incubator management and global innovation and entrepreneurship company.

The roadshow is a platform for global investors to seek out partners and open Chinese markets. Participants from countries such as Germany, Finland, the US and Israel, showcase their cutting-edge industries, including internet of things, artificial intelligence (AI), smart home and virtual reality (VR).

A dazzling display of high-tech products awaits Chinese investors on site. Germany's Mirror Co brings its intelligent electronic mirror capable of connecting with other intelligent devices, while Russia is seeking to attract investors with its affordable telemedicine solutions, benefitting low and middle income families.

It's estimated that 30 percent of the overseas enterprises taking part have annual outputs of 100 million yuan ($14.48 million).

Guangzhou, the first stop of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay Area, has shown great potential for innovators and entrepreneurs with its convenient business environment and comprehensive services.
